Eminem’s New Video Bezerk and the Awkward Premier

Posted by Nadine Segal • September 10, 2013 at 07:35 AM

Eminem has new single out called “Bezerk”. The single, produced by Rick Rubin is off his new album The Marshall Mathers LP 2.

Eminem showed up at the half time of the Michigan-Notre Dame Game and talked about his new video for the song and his upcoming album. He claimed to be a die-hard Lions fan, but his demeanor was far from excited. He also premiered a Sneak Peak of Bezerk’s video. He seemed really dazed during the interview, but we can only assume he was playing it up for the fun of it and not just as he put it “freaked out by live television”. Check out the video below, and you can decide for yourself.

Eminem explained the album is revisiting the original Marshall Mathers LP that he released in 2000. The video seems to be revisiting an even earlier time than that, the feel of the video is very early 1990’s hip-hop. There are a few unexpected guests in the video including Kendrik Lamar and Kid Rock.

Check out the new video below.

Do you think Eminem’s was was acting awkward during the interview for the publicity or was it legit? Intentional or not it certainly got people talking about the video.

50 cent

Half a Dollar

50 cent, one of the most prominent rap heroes of the previous decade, is back with a new song. Despite announcing his retirement from the music business a couple of times, it’s business as usual for Curtis, with another low slung, slow grooving number, Outlaw.

Eminem and Royce da 5’9″ go a long way back, collaborating on a few underground hits, and most notably on Slim Shady’s 1999 LP, in a song called Bad Meets Evil.

Their partnership is now a full on project, and Fast Lane is the first video to pop on the official channels.

Grammy Winners

A couple of weeks ago the music industry celebrated another year in business, and handed out a bunch of prizes to some of the most notable artists of 2010. As usual, there were unexpected winners and surprising moments, and this year, the biggest surprise is arguably indie-pop band, The Arcade Fire, winning album of the year with The Suburbs.

Eminem and Lady Gaga not won nearly as many Grammies as they hoped for, but didn’t go home empty handed either. Besides Arcade Fire, the other big winners of the night are no doubt country posters Lady Antebellum and jazz musician Esperanza Spalding, who overcame Justin Bieber and Drake as Best New Artist.

You can see the full list of winners at the official Grammies site, and download all the music, right here on iMesh
