Hip Hop’s all-time best outfit, The Roots, are about to release a new album.  In our books, there aren’t many things that make us happier than knowing this.  Some people might recognize them nowadays as Jimmy Fallon’s house band, but the band has been making records from way back – they started almost 20 years ago.

The new track has a short video online, and the band will release a short video every week now, up until the release of the full album.

Last Night J Dilla saved my life

J Dilla is one of Hip Hop’s greatest ever producer, and a pioneering musician, who inspired a new generation of beat makers, and often compared to legends such as Jimi Hendrix and Miles Davis. His untimely death 5 years ago left us wanting more, but at least his music lives on and on.

The latest Dilla associated project, is a video contest to his legendary Donuts album. Check this submission, all the way from Finland.
